Gesce Jampel Senghe was born in Kompo (eastern Tibet) at the beginning of the twentieth century.

He was one of great Papopnka Rimpoce's direct disciples and obtained the title of Gesce Larampa in the monastery of Sera-me and the title of tantric master at the monastery of Gyuto.

After China invaded Tibet, he was invited by prof. Tucci to move to Italy to be a teacher at ISMEO (Institute for Middle-and-far-Eastern studies) where he carefully translated and catalogued a large amount of buddhist and tibetan phylosophy texts for 20 years.

He died in 1981.
